Who I (your wedding planner) Prefer to Work with During the Planning Phase of Your Wedding

Hello lovely couples! Amber Lead Planner and Designer here from Rita Rose Creative Event Design. Today, I want to talk about who I prefer to work with during the planning phase of your wedding.

First and foremost, let me emphasize that your special day is all about YOU. As a passionate wedding planner, my priority is to ensure that your vision and dreams come to life. That's why I love working directly with couples, as it allows me to understand your unique personalities, preferences, and love story. I understand that in many cases, one person in the couple takes the lead while the other provides input on important details. This dynamic is natural and completely expected. After all, planning a wedding is a collaborative effort that requires the input and involvement of both partners.

However, I also recognize that there are instances where someone outside of the couple may need to be involved. For example, the mother of the bride or groom might play a significant role in the planning process. In such cases, we can certainly accommodate their presence, but it's crucial to establish this arrangement from the beginning, when the contract is signed. In the past, I have worked with several couples where I collaborated closely with the bride and her mom, and those experiences have been fantastic. However, I must emphasize that once we dive into the planning process, I cannot allow your mom or mother-in-law to jump in and start making significant changes. The reason behind this is simple - by that point, we would have already made decisions and curated a specific atmosphere and feel for your big day. Introducing new ideas and altering the overall vision at that stage can disrupt the cohesiveness we've worked so hard to achieve.

I completely understand that parents often contribute financially to weddings, and I greatly appreciate their support. It's crucial, though, to have an open discussion with them beforehand about their level of involvement and what aspects they wish to be a part of. This way, we can ensure that everyone is on the same page and that your planning process remains seamless. By keeping the planning process primarily between me and the couple, we can maintain a smooth flow of communication, decision-making, and execution. This approach allows us to bring your dream wedding to life while staying true to your vision and priorities.
